The purpose of this website is to provide support for the clinical management, research, and educational information needs of the Stevens Hospital physicians and hospital staff. Through its commitment to patient-centered care, this community financed institution along with the financial efforts of both the medical staff and hospital administration, place a strong emphasis on the practice of evidence-based medicine.

The Medical Staff Library's web-based services and collection of electronic information resources continue to grow with remote access to Physicians e-Library services now available. As the Physicians e-Library continues its growth, many of the library resources continue to gravitate online with the offering of  electronic indexes and databases. Our selection of online textbooks and journals with full text availability continues to grow, as well. 

Located in the menu column to the left are the web pages offered to you in an organized, categorized collection that are available through the Internet. These web site pages are regularly updated and the links are periodically verified using an online link-checker as well as manually by the librarian. Many of the links will open as a brand new page separate from this one.  In those cases you can just close those windows and you will return here.  Thank you for using our website and please let us know what else you would like us to provide.

Exciting things have been happening to your electronic library!  Through the cooperative efforts of both the medical staff and hospital administration you now have access to a collection of over 300 medical, nursing, and administrative journals available in full-text format from Ovid Technologies.  Just click here to see what is available. Access to this collection is protected by username and password.  Please contact the staff in the Medical Staff Office to obtain them for access.
