Welcome to the Swedish/Edmonds Physicians e-Library Collection. Make your choice from the page selection in the left hand column.
 

The purpose of this website is to provide support for the clinical management, research, and educational information needs of the Swedish/Edmonds physicians and hospital staff. Through its commitment to patient-centered care, this community financed institution along with the financial efforts of both the medical staff and hospital administration, place a strong emphasis on the practice of evidence-based medicine.

 The Medical Staff Library's web-based services and collection of electronic information resources continue to grow with remote access to Physicians e-Library services now available. As the Physicians e-Library continues its growth, many of the library resources continue to migrate online with the offering of  electronic indexes and databases. Our selection of online textbooks and journals with full text  vailability continues to grow, as well. 

Located in  the menu column to the left are the web pages offered to you in an organized, categorized collection that are available through the Internet. These web site pages are regularly updated and the links are per odically verified using an online link-checker as well as manually by the librarian. Many of the links will open as a brand new page separate from this one.  In those cases you can just close those windows and you will return here.  Thank you for using our website and please let us know what else you would like us to provide.

Through the cooperative efforts of both the medical staff and hospital administration you continue to have access to a collection of over 300 medical, nursing, and administrative journals available in full-text format from Ovid Technologies.  Just click here to see what is available. Access to this collection is protected by username and password.  Please contact the staff in the Medical Staff Office to obtain them for access. 

When performing a literature search in PubMed, look for the Swedish/Edmonds logo.  This will alert you to full text online availability of the journal holdings at Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.  The logo will only be  visible in the Abstract Display Setting in PubMed. Clicking on the Swedish/Edmonds logo will send you to the complete article that you may then read and/or print off.  Remember, that a username and password may be required for access!
