Kit Massengale

Executive Director—Stevens Foundation and Community Development

Ms. Massengale joined the Stevens Hospital staff in October of 2006 to help build the new Stevens Foundation. Today she is the executive director of the Stevens Foundation and Community Development. She is responsible for oversight of the Foundation, Volunteer Services, Friends of Stevens Auxiliary, Spiritual Care and Chaplains, Bereavement, Animal Assisted Therapy and Community Development. Before joining Stevens, Kit served for six years as the President of the Massengale Family Foundation. Kit has had numerous positions in healthcare management including: business office manager and patient access supervisor.  She has an undergraduate degree in psychology from Lewis and Clark College, and degree in business management from the University of Phoenix. Kit has been involved in leadership roles in philanthropic organizations throughout the Puget Sound Region most recently with Social Venture Partners Seattle.

Kate O’Neill

Coordinator—Stevens Foundation and Community Development

Kate O’Neill joined the Foundation in July of 2006. She was previously the patient advocate at Steven Hospital. Kate has been an employee of Stevens Hospital for the last 12 years. She attended Seattle University and San Francisco State University. For the last four years she has been a volunteer with Equi-Friends, therapeutic horseback riding for people with disabilities and with the Granite Falls School District, working in the special needs classroom as a reading tutor. She is also an avid runner, does triathlons and loves hiking.

Medy Eballar

Manager—Volunteer Services

Ms. Eballar was born and raised in the Philippines. She has a Bachelor in Business Administration major in Accounting and an MBA major in Management. She has many years of experience in the field of Volunteer Services including: volunteer coordinator - Providence Hospital, Anchorage, AK, director of volunteer services - Wahiawa Gen. Hosp., H. director of volunteer services–Evergreen Healthcare, WA, and volunteer coordinator supervisor –PSBC–Seattle, WA. Medy lives in north Seattle with her husband. They are the parents of three grown children residing in France, Kansas, and Seattle.

Susanne Kromberg

Manager— Spiritual Care and Chaplains

Ms. Kromberg has been with Stevens Hospital as an on-call chaplain since January 2000. She holds a Master of Divinity degree, has completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education and has a post-master’s certificate in Transforming Spirituality from Seattle University. Susanne is passionate about providing spiritual care to people from all cultures, religious backgrounds and ethnicities. She is committed to building a strong, professional spiritual care team that is an integrated part of the interdisciplinary care at Stevens and offers spiritual care not only to patients and family members, but also to staff, physicians, and volunteers. Susanne is endorsed for chaplaincy by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). The Spiritual Care team is now available 24/7. If you have any questions or would like to discuss services the department offers, Susanne would be happy to answer them.

Kathy Albin, M.A. Counseling

Bereavement Coordinator

Kathy Albin, MA is a licensed mental health counselor specializing in individual and group counseling for grief, traumatic loss, terminal illness, self-esteem, relationship and career issues. She has had a private practice in downtown Edmonds for seven years. In addition to coordinating the bereavement program at Stevens Hospital, Kathy facilitates a breast cancer group for Cancer Lifeline, as well as a group for women who have completed cancer treatment. She has completed the University of Washington’s certificate program in treating psychological trauma, and has had training in the Critical Incident Stress Management and the National Organization for Victim Assistance models of crisis intervention. She uses these skills to assist businesses that have experienced a traumatic incident impacting their employees. She is also a certified Organization Development specialist, and facilitates a variety of workshops in organizations throughout the Puget Sound area.

Raegan Fisher

Auxiliary and Gift Shop Supervisor

Raegan Fisher, retail services supervisor has been in customer service for 14 years. Coming to Stevens from Harborview Medical Center in January of 2008, Raegan played a pivotal role in remodeling and remerchandising of the new Friends of Stevens Gift Shop. She specializes in retail merchandising and management. Raegan strives for excellence in customer care and appreciation. She enjoys the creative aspects of working in retail and designing functional yet visually appealing displays.  Working closely with the Friends of Stevens Auxiliary Raegan plans and organizes several in house fundraising events including the annual May Fair and Holiday Fair.

Raegan enjoys spending time with her family; going to the park and watching her husband compete in Flyball competitions with the family dog.

Christi Dudzik, M.C., LMHC

Animal Assisted Therapy Coordinator/ Stevens Therapy Pups

Ms. Dudzik is the president and owner of Healing Paws. She received her bachelor's degree in Secondary Education - Psychology and Social Studies from Clemson University in 1979 and her master's degree in Counseling and certification in Addiction Studies from Seattle University in 1991. She taught high school for nine years and worked as a drug and alcohol counselor for over two years. Christi also has extensive education and training in animal behavior. She has been training dogs in obedience since 1986 and shows her dogs competitively, both in the United States and Canada. Christi is certified with the Delta Society® as an Instructor and Animal Evaluator in their Pet Partners® Program for handler-animal therapy teams. She has developed and conducts the Making a Difference Workshop©, an introduction to therapy animal work for volunteers and professionals, and the Therapy Dog Class, an eight-week program designed to prepare animals and their handlers for AAI work.
